Collection: Dhanteras

Dhanteras, also known as Dhantrayodashi, marks the beginning of Diwali, the five-day Hindu festival of lights. Celebrated on the 13th day of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Ashwin, this auspicious day is dedicated to Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health and healing, and Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity.

On Dhanteras, people traditionally purchase precious metals like gold, silver, or household items, as it is believed to bring good fortune and prosperity for the upcoming year. Homes are cleaned and decorated with rangolis and oil lamps to welcome wealth and blessings. Many also perform Lakshmi puja, offering prayers for health, prosperity, and happiness for their families. It is a day to embrace new beginnings, wealth, and well-being.
